Database connection

Question

I'm trying to create an external database, but when trying the connection it show this message:

Connection String test failed: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)

Anyone knows what I need to setup this?

Do you have more details on this connection? Is your database local on your network or is it in the cloud?

Diogo,

Probably the problem is there, the OutSystems platform is not seeing your local network. If you are in an OutSystems Cloud environment, you will need to configure a VPN to access your environment, or leave your connection exposed so that OutSystems can connect.

Thanks, supposedly we already have a vpn tunnel connecting with them, and I'm already working fine with service studio.
