Server Date Format wont change

Server Date Format wont change

Hi all,

Have been trying to change the servers Date Format in Service Centre but it keeps reverting back to the original format "YYYY-MM-DD". If I chose another format and click apply I get the green message saying server configuration was successfully saved but the dropdown changes back to YYYY-MM-DD.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Tom
Hello Tom

In what version of the Service Center you get this behavior? You can get it on the About link at the bottom of every Service Center page after login.

When changing the Date Format, you should get a message like Server configuration was successfully saved. The eSpaces need to be published to use the new settings.

You should republish the applications to take effect, but I never got Service Center to revert the setting on the Server Configuration page.

Hello Tom

I've just got this problem also with the latest 6.0.1.10 ... It seems like a bug, and I'll report it to the R&D team asap.

Hi,

Is that bug allready resolve ? I have the same problem, what should I do ?

best regards,

Frederico
Hi Frederico

Yes, this problem will be fixed in the Agile Platform in a future revision patch, but not the next one.

If this problem is impacting a project, I suggest you engage directly the OutSystems Technical Support for assistance, so they can provide you with a solution.

Ok thanks
Miguel,

Can we solve the problem without calling the support?

What table and field do we have to change ?
Thanks,
Tiago

Hi all

This problem has been fixed on the Platform Server 6.0.1.13 after all .... OutSystems R&D put in the extra mile and was able to include the fix in it.

For those of you using the Agile Platform Community Edition, I recommend to download it from http://www.outsystems.com/download/ or http://www.outsystems.com/download/full/.

Hi Miguel,

Thanks for the update. Interestingly I've installed the update on two server I have, one works and the other doesn't. Is there anything in my apps that might be ristricting the ability to change it?

Hi Tom

If the problem persists on one of the servers, then the Service Center wasn't correctly deploy there. In order to give a more direct approach to the problem, could you provide some additional info?

Are these 2 different servers part of the same OutSystems Environment (e.g, using the same controller and same database)? Or are these 2 servers different environments (each one with their own database)?

Have you installed using the Platform Server by following the Install Checklist, or did you used the Agile Platform Community Edition installer?

Cheers

Hi Miguel, I have the same problem. I am using the Community Edition. I followed the link you provided (http://www.outsystems.com/download/full/.) but that one is installing the platform server 6.0.1.10 (that version was already installed).

Should I download PlatformServer-6.0.1.13.exe and follow the checklist for Agile Platform Server Installation?

Cheers,
Mark

Hi Mark

You're correct, the full version of the Community Edition hasn't been updated yet to 6.0.1.13+.

Using the standalone Platform Server 6.0.1.13 installer and following the installation checklist for the Update to a New Revision option could be a solution, although a bit more complex.

Or you could wait until a newer revision of the community installer is released and updated on our website.

I'll try to get a date for that.
