Hi guys,

I'm having trouble deploying service center to my IIS:

I am (trying) running outsystems on a Windows Server 2008 SP1, SQL Express 2008 R2 ADV.

I'd by happy about some suggestions to solve the problem.

Cheers

Hi FriWi,

Check if IIS is up on your machine with the Default Website running and accepting connections on port 80.
Check Event Viewer for errors if not.

What do you get on a browser on http://172.16.59.11/ and http://172.16.59.11/ServiceCenter    ?
Both urls should give valid responses.

Hi FriWi,

Did you tried to "Stop Services" and "Start Services" (on the Outsystems Administration Tools), since it seems that you're having a problem with the Deployment Service.
Another thing you can try to do is to restart your IIS (according to the IIS version) and check if the problem is solved:

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
Gonçalo M.
Hi Goncalo,

even after restarting I get the following messages:
[Error] Error message from node server (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx): Deployment failed
Deployment failed. Could not invoke ping. Exception: Die zugrunde liegende Verbindung wurde geschlossen: Unerwarteter Fehler beim Senden..
   bei System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse()
bei OutSystems.HubEdition.DeployService.Deploy.#RWd(String hostname, String espaceName, String ptaOrTenantName, String pingFile)

Message 2
[Error] Error message from node server (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx): Deployment failed
Deployment failed. Could not invoke ping. Exception: Die zugrunde liegende Verbindung wurde geschlossen: Unerwarteter Fehler beim Senden..
   bei System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse()
bei OutSystems.HubEdition.DeployService.Deploy.#RWd(String hostname, String espaceName, String ptaOrTenantName, String pingFile)

I have disbabled the firewall already, reinstalled the IIS 7.5 but still get this same result. I did not get this before we started to install share point foudnation on the machine. But now, even when it is removed, I still can't deploy the service center.

Any ideas?

FriWi
Hi FriWi,

It seems that you're having a problem in the place  you have the platform instaled.
If you can, first of all you can try to restart the server..
However, I think that you should send an email to the Support, since  they might identify and solve the solution..
Please let me no if you got a reply ...

Kind Regards,
Gonçalo M.
Hi FriWi,

Like I said you need to have the Default Website running and listening on port 80. Installing the Sharepoint will have most likely messed up those settings.

It should look something like this.
And since you installed Sharepoint it's possible you have more WebSites conflicting with the default one, or have it disabled.

João Rosado
Guys,

thanks so much for the support. Finally the check in the connection of the website did it. So now service center is working again.
We can close this post.

Cheers
FriWi
Does anyone know what causes this problem ?

Deployment failed. Could not invoke ping. Exception: Connection to https://127.0.0.1 refused at outsystems.hubedition.http.HttpWebRequest.getResponse(Unknown Source)

Why OutSystems tries to access the https port ?
Hi Regis,

It tries both ports in case the other fails.

As for the causes it depends, as it can be multiple things.

Try to access locally to http://127.0.0.1/ServiceCenter and see what error it gets.
Also make sure your application server is running:

for jboss:
service jboss-outsystems start

for weblogic:
service weblogic-outsystems-adminserver start
service weblogic-outsystems-nodemanager start
service weblogic-outsystems start

Hi João,
Thank you for your answer
I was trying to access de URL bellow :

curl -v http://127.0.0.1/RichWidgets/_ping.html
Return: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found
curl -v http://127.0.0.1/ServiceCenter/_ping.html
Return: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found

curl -v http://[external url]/ServiceCenter/_ping.html
Return: HTTP/1.1 200 OK
curl -v http://[external url]/RichWidgets/_ping.html
Return: HTTP/1.1 200 OK

I think the Apache is configured to refuse access in 127.0.0.1 port and the outsystems use this to verify if the application is published.
I can't access the server now, but a will verify the apache rules.
