Multi-level sort of record list

Multi-level sort of record list

What's available to do a multi-level sort (i.e. sort by more than one field) of a record list?
Thanks,
Gerry
Hi Gerry.

I don't know any, but if you're using always the same set of fields, consider adding one field with the contactenation of the fields that you widh to sort by.

That's my 2cents...
Do you know linq? http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/101-LINQ-Samples-3fb9811b

Ordering sample: http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/SQL-Ordering-Operators-050af19e

You can try create a extention based on it and see if it works.

Hope it helps.

 Hi Gerry.

I was looking to a problem with SortRecordList and came across this post that actually can be very helpfull to you.

It seems tat you can usa a coma separated list of columns to use in the sort operation. Seems a perfect fit to your request :)

Cheers,
Pedro
