Tip: SQL Server error: The transaction log for database outsystems is full


One or more operations are failing when accessing the Agile Platform. It can be publishing, staging using LifeTime, or even application runtime.
When you access Service Center (in the Error Log) you see an error similar to the one below. You may also see it as output of an error page in your browser you are logged in the Platform Server and accessing the application using http://localhost/:

The transaction log for database 'outsystems' is full. To find out why space in the log cannot be reused, see the log_reuse_wait_desc column in sys.databases

The same error can occur referencing a database name different from 'outsystems', depending on how the platform is installed in your specific system.


This error means that the transaction log of the database cannot grow anymore. This can be because the server has run out of disk space, because the maximum allowed size was reached, or similar other reasons.
