List Records Widget Runtime Properties

When you are gathering the end-user selection through a List Records widget, the following runtime properties are available.

Id: Identifies the widget in the HTML of the web screen or web block.

Read only. Text type.

List: Allows you to manage the list displayed on the screen.

Read / Write. List type.

The source of this list is the list of records specified in the Source Record List property. However, there can be differences between them if, for example the Start Index property of the widget is different from 0; or if the end-user directly edited the records on the widget.

LineCount: Maximum number of rows that can be displayed in the screen, as defined in the Line Count property of the widget.

Read only. Integer type.

StartIndex: Indicates the index of the first row in the list to be displayed in the widget.

Read / Write. Integer type.

The expressions used in this property are evaluated before the preparation.

What You Should Know

The widget Id runtime property is only available in the screen scope if the widget property Name is not empty.
An Id attribute of unnamed widgets may change at any time. For this reason, if you are using CSS or Javascript that relies on the Id attribute, ensure you assign a name to the widget so that its Id doesn't change.

LineCount and StartIndex are very useful to implement the Previous and Next behaviors of a List Records widget.
