I think it would be usefull if we could add comments to flow elements, like IFs, switchs and foreachs.

Sometimes the comment component is big and it's hard to position in a place where won't overlap other elements.

This idea (https://www.outsystems.com/ideas/346/%5bServiceStudio%5d+add+comment+to+value+assign?IsFromAdvancedSearch=True) helps a lot, allowing us to add coment to the expression, but it would be easier to read and find this comments if there was a property in element to input some comments.

Hello Victor,

Not sure if I understood how  you were expecting them to show.

Can you provide a screenshot or more details on what you expect?

Cheers,

Hey Victor,

Thanks a lot for your idea!

It makes sense and we know that "comment" experience could be improved. Despite this, we currently don't have short-term plans to do this (we are doing things with bigger impact).

We'll keep the idea to reconsider it in the near future.

Once again, thanks for your contributions and keep the ideas coming!

Merged this idea with 'Comments in flows like Tooltips' (created on 21 Mar 2022 16:20:40 by Pedro Lemos)

Comments inside flows/actions could have the option to be either Expanded (like now) and Collapsed, appearing as an icon, displaying the full comment on hover (like a tooltip) allowing comments to be placed in tight spots.

(Edit: I labeled this as Service Center, instead of Service Studio... sorry)

It makes sense.
Sometimes for us even, we need to write full comment on different part of the flow because it cannot be placed in tight spots near the actual node.

Of course we can use line which points out that this comment is for this feature but again it needs to be far away from the actual node.

+1

would make it easier to avoid comment flows in the lines
