In order to have more topics with a post marked as solution, a button "Request to mark as Solution" on each post would remind the topic creator to check if any post suited his question or even alert forum moderators to mark the post as the solution.

As far as I know this is already implemented for some quit some time already but only for the original poster not a moderator.

The original.ooster gets a banner/reminder to consider to mark a reply as solution.

I mean another user (not the original poster) could request his post to be the solution. The original poster or a moderator could accept it or not.

ok got it, do you have a feeling that many post don't get the correct reply marked as solution?

OutSystems moderators already mark replies as solutions to, and people can always send a PM to the original poster if it is clear that their reply is the solution.

I think some topics are left behind when the solution is already there.

It could also allow other users to click the button and suggest the solution post, although this could bring a load of requests.

The amount of request is what I guess could be a problem. You can always ask a moderator (MVP) to look at a reply that is a candidate solution if the OP is not responding on a PM.

Thank you Daniël Kuhlmann for clarifying.

José Gonçalves the comments Daniël Kuhlmann made perfectly explain the reasoning at the time.
If there was strong evidence that several comments don't get correctly marked as a solution, this feature would bring value to the Community.

Currently, we have our moderators that make an awesome job preventing in most cases that to happen.

Therefore, I'm going to mark this Idea as "Not right now".
If evidences surface indicating the opposite, I will review it.

Thank you for not only this but all ideas you have been giving.

Best regards,
