Currently it is possible to upload a binary file by editing the table. It would be interesting to be able to download the binary without having to create a screen with the download functions. Idea in the image below, in adding a download icon and being able to download this binary in any file.

Hello Edson,

Thank you so much for your idea.

While the IDE Group believes it will bring value to all of our community, currently, it is not on our roadmap but we will keep a close eye on it and prioritize it according to the support it gains from the Community.

If you have more ideas, please share them.

Thank you.

Our R&D team could not agree more, which is the reason why we developed and published Orbit Suite Data Manager Forge Component.  See our must recent post and release information.

Here is a screenshot of how to preview and download the binary data:

Thanks for the contribution, I believe the tool can help a lot. However, in some cases, I won't be able to download components to handle just this specific case - especially in client environments, which have strict control of downloading Forge components.

This resource I mentioned is ideal for downloading any type of binary, generating a generic file with the data, as it will not always be an image binary.

Another point is that we wouldn't need to leave Service Studio to perform this operation. Currently, I create a simple screen to capture this binary - but this screen would become unnecessary if I had this feature implemented, speeding up our work even more.

@Edson Marques We appreciate the feedback and completely understand that some environments have strict controls to download and publish forge components. In your use case downloading from Service Studio definitely would improve productivity.  The screenshot above represents the feature when it is an image, it supports all binary data types.  For non-images, it just shows the mime-type icon (pdf) and when clicked on, it downloads automatically instead of opening in preview.

GROVEPATH R&D,

I downloaded the tool in my personal environment and will soon do an overview. And of course, knowing more, it will be a good component for referral to customers.

@Edson Marques The following 10 minute video should help

I agree Edson, that's exactly what you expect in the data grid.
