Service Studio

This is a possible solution to having to open several of the same modules each day as a developer. When working on very interconnected apps etc I find I am opening many of the same modules every day, one by one which seems unnecessary. Can a session not be saved so that I can shut down my PC but then carry on tomorrow with the same modules open automatically?

Open to other variations of this idea and definitely just a nice to have.

Hi @Nicholas Campbell ,

have you seen the Orbit Suite App Manager, does this offer some relief ?

Another thing you could explore (but that's more invasive into your code) is to create a separate application with several 'key' modules, each representing a set of modules you want to open in one go.

Each 'key' module just with one single public element, that you have to reference in all the modules that belong to that same key.

Then just open the key module you are going to work on today, and do a "Module / Download all consumers..."

It's a bit of work to set up, but for larger projects, that might be worth it.

I liked the idea, it makes a lot of sense, and other IDEs or code editors have similar functionality to solve that issue.

@Dorine Boudry thanks for the suggestions I will look into both as a temporary solution.

First of all, you have my like!

@Daniel Kuhlmann can you please update this idea's category to Service Studio, instead of Service Center?

Thank you!

Thanks @Ricardo Reis, and good spot about the category!

Changed the category to
Service Studio

This is indeed a great idea!

It would absolutely facilitate the coordination of my work as a developer.

Thank you @Nicholas Campbell!
