Service Studio

It would be great to have a native Service Studio for Apple Silicon (M1/M2 Arm CPUs), instead of running them through the Rosetta translation layer. The performance and power consumption are not ideal at the current state.

I agree that, cause the current version was consume heavy resources such as battery and memory. Moreover, when I use it for a long time, it will become a slowly until sometimes crash or close itself immediately :(

yes, and to open simple expression takes longer time. I did experience multiple crash in 2 hours. Currently using M1 Pro 2021.

Outsystems, please support Apple Silicon.

Yes, on my M2 it crashed several times and my works can't be recovered

Let's hope OutSystems releases a universal build that supports both Intel and Apple ARM CPUs soon:)

Service Studio is usable on M1/M2 processors, however it frequently crashes, and we are unable to recover what we have lost.

Should have been here already, IMHO. My 5 year old intel Mac can still keep up ( when using service studio ) and is faster with the expression editor ( I am on M2 )

Agreed @Joost Miltenburg, that was exactly how I felt. I have a 2015 MBP that runs Service Studio faster than a 3000 USD Macbook Pro due to the lack of a proper ARM version. It's almost unusable if you're developing full time (I have to run Service Studio on my Windows machine).

Agree 100%

one more here!

Everyone, OS has released the ARM64 Architecture for Download!

Thank you for this!! I am using it already!

Hi, I installed the version for ARM64 (ServiceStudio-11.54.24.62760_arm64.dmg) and on startup it gets a message that it is necessary to have Rosetta installed. Something is wrong :(

Downloaded it, twice.

Application info still says 'Application (Intel)'. What is going on here?
If says that 'Rosetta' is needed, then it is still Intel otherwise it isn't needed.

Hello everyone,

I got Service Studio's ARM64 version yesterday, and everything went well and the build is accurate.

Did you try without Rosetta? Maybe it is installer problem.

I tried many times. Without Rosetta, I'm not able to start Studio after I copied ServiceStudio-11.54.24.62760_arm64.dmg content to Apps folder.

I confirm it is released and working! :) Way faster than before. Thanks OutSystems.

Márcio Lima do you have Rosseta installed?

Yes I do. But the app is running in Native Mode.

Which binary are you running? Is it this one? ServiceStudio-11.54.24.62760_arm64.dmg

As I post many times I downloaded and try to run ServiceStudio-11.54.24.62760_arm64.dmg version. Problem is related o only to FRESH environments with NO ROSSETA installed. If you have ROSSETA you will see studio like Apple app. Strange problem, but still problem. Maybe installer is broken and to initialization need ROSSETA (act like Intel). Studio is now last application on may Mac still need Rosseta. I have similar problem in the past with some antivirus software. I don’t know. But why I need to install Rosetta if app is dedicated for Mac processor? Sorry, but information - works on my Mac, but I have Rosseta will not help to confirm problem.

It seems like an installer problem only.

You can use this feature to report this problem:

ServiceStudio-11.54.25.62773_arm64.dmg (295.54 MB) still need Rossetta. Pedro i will send feeedback. Thanks.

ServiceStudio-11.54.32.62934_arm64.dmg: still Rosetta.

@Tomasz Czubkowski did you receive any response? I have the same problem
