I would say they should open in a new tab! Yes that is target=new you geeks! :)

If you find a link that points to something other then a post, like a download, it's very nice to open them in new tabs.

It's one line of JQuery!

I think that is a end user decision, you can always use the 'middle button click' (scroll) to open a link in a new tab...

Hi,

too often I forget to right-click a link to open it in a new tab/window.
So make it default or user preferenced so we stay on the forums and a new window/tab is opened.
