I would love to build my portfolio or a small business using my personal environment in OutSystems, using my domain or having more space to use in the database.

I'm not a Champion or MVP, but I believe that the idea would motivate even more OutSystems professionals to reach these desired prominent positions.

My idea is that these professionals recognized by OutSystems MVP and Champion can have additional configurations in their personal environments, basic things like:

  • Put your own domain eg: www.soarescorp.com or instead of personal-xasadk
  • Having more than 2GB of database to actually store data.
  • Allow 1 or more 2 developer accounts in personal environment.

Only these first two items would be very good, so in summary, my idea is that MVPs or Champions have better functionalities in their personal environments, after all they are promoting the OutSystems brand frequently.

Good Idea

Excellent idea, especially since we represent the platform, it helps to demonstrate and deliver more to customers and potential customers.

I would also complement it by adding AI Mentor Studio

I always found the possibility of being able to put my own domain in an application developed in OutSystems, like a prize.

I know it can't be easy to implement an idea like that, but it's also not easy to become a Champion or MVP, and given the effort these guys make to be professionally recognized by OutSystems, it could allow them to place a custom domain in their environment.

This is an initial idea, of course it needs a lot of details and research, but I think that most professionals who work with OutSystems have always wanted to be able to set up a custom domain, and for that reason, not those who have managed to achieve the status of MVP or Champions.

Hug,

Hi Lucas,

I ddon't think motivation for this idea makes sense.

Although I feel honored, being an MVP, that you want to ensure MVPs and champions better PE, I feel the need to react on your idea.

Firstly, I believe the idea for a better PE, own domain name, etc. already exists (probably spread over multiple ideas), and it would have been better to upvote those ideas.

Secondly, I don't understand your motivation:

"I'm not a Champion or MVP, but I believe that the idea would motivate even more OutSystems professionals to reach these desired prominent positions."

If once motivation is to become a champion or MVP just for the perks, then I don't think you will ever become one, or stay one (you need to be nominated every year nowadays). I believe, at least to the MVP program, people are only added to the program on their merits, and those need to come from an instinct motivation to help the OutSystems community, not to get perks.

I believe you need to be recognized as an MVP to be accepted in the program. Even if the program would have no perks, probably all MVPs would still be happy to be part of the program.

Perks are nice, but not a motivation.

Daniel

Hi @Daniel Kuhlmann , thanks for interacting with the idea.

Maybe your interpretation of the text was wrong, I didn't want to express myself that the motivator for becoming an MVP or Champion is just for the benefits in PE.

Today I work with MVP RafaOutSystems (Rafael Pereira) and Caio, and I understand and see the passion of an MVP when we are talking to a client about OutSystems.

I also know that the Champions and MVP are passionate about the platform, and I am also passionate, for 9 years and I intend to continue in the coming years :).

As for me not being an MVP or Champion, it does not diminish my intention to contribute to a possible good idea, even if FOR NOW, I am not part of this select group.

When you become an MVP, you gain some benefits, for example: Early Access, Extra community permissions, among others.

The core of my idea is just to allow more things and not motivate someone to become an MVP or Champion just because they have an exclusive channel or extra permissions in the community.

I apologize if my initial text did not convey the message I wanted to share as a professional and passionate about outsystems.

Daniel, you are one of the few MVPs who interacts with my posts, and I respect and appreciate your time and position.

Hugs, and have a great week.

Thanks for the feedback.

Hello,

I think this is a good Idea, as it would leverage more testing and PoC capacities for experienced users to help transfer knowledge, solve, prove or test challenges if needed.  Just my two cents.

Best regards.
