Most of the times I need to open Service Studio just to check code and I do not need to get the references.
It would save a lot of time when we just want to check the code and not change anything
To approach this we could have 2 options: Open from environment without checking references and the normal option Open from environment (as we have now)
Hey! Great idea. I believe this will address the main issue of the time it takes to open the module when there are multiple module references, at least in my case.
I envision this as a view mode for a module, similar to opening a Word or Excel file in view mode.
Hi Tiago, thank you for your feedback!
This problem is definetly on our radar and we are testing some possible solutions, I'll keep you updated here.
Great idea, I do think that there can be either an option inside popup before opening the module or an extra clickable selection/icon on the right side next to the other icons (screenshot example below) @Marcelo Penas @Tiago Reis @António Pereira
Yes that can be a good way to do it...
Dear @Tiago Reis You can choose Cancel in Incompatible or missing dependencies found popup.
@ndy this is incorrect.
This has to do with incompatible, old and existing references will still be fetched. Service Studio will make you wait, if needed. The bigger the module the longer the wait.
Hi all, thank you for the feedback!
From Service Studio 11.54.75 onwards you can cancel the Get References process when opening a module.
Thanks, OS Team for the Implementation. It was a needed option.
Thanks!
Much need option. I appreciate it. its has been implemented.
