Service Center

To monitor errors in Service Center, having the kind of exceptions that have been raised could be very helpful.
The exceptions are already on the error log but not their Type, for example, "Database Exception", "Security Exception" and for User Exceptions, it would be very helpful.

Should have filters / categorized.

Hi Martin,

I don't understand what is your idea. Exceptions will end up as log messages on the error log already.

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

My bad, I should have given more information.

The exceptions are already on the error log but not their Type, for example, "DataBase Exception", "Security Exception" and for User Exceptions, it would be very helpful.

Martin

Thanks for the extra information, that makes sense.

This should be possible. I know that via LogMessage you can give a source for General logs. It would be handy if OutSystems can implement this and let the dev choose a type for exception handler message that will be logged (if Logging is set to yes ofcourse) to log it like a source, but instead of source a new column in service center with the label "Type" within the error logging page/tab content.

I like this idea because it will save some time as well, especially when searching for error logs associated with a specific exception type and having a dropdown filter to select particular type to get those logs will also be helpful.

Its a nice thought. OS can provide filters on it. easy to find.
