Enable inline css display to let developers know that inline css is getting added. This will also discourage use of inline CSS as it will be visible.
But you can already see inline CSS, and even AI Mentor Studio will report it as findings...
I also don't understand how it discourages... if you already know that you don't want inline CSS.
As inline CSS is visible only after inspecting the widgets, as a result of which it gets unnoticed, developers may not be able to find that inline CSS is added. If inline CSS is visible, developers may update the code to remove inline CSS.
TrueChange warnings to highlight simple Best Practice violations such as this one would be outstanding. Immediate feedback to the Dev will foster positive habits faster - and with less overall effort - than peer code reviews or AI Mentor Studio feedback.
Unfortunately, this could provide a lot of noise for customers who don't care about certain types of violations, or who already have a large factory of legacy code with such violations. This would need to be an "opt-in" type of warning, which isn't currently available on the platform.
I fully agree with Ross H
