When deleting a personal environment, would it be possbile to zip the OML's and send it to the user? Especially for ODC where the personal environment gets shut down within a week of not using it. I just had a personal project I spend 20-30 hours on, and then got a load of work meaning I had no time for the personal project for 2 weeks. When I came back to it the environment is gone and everything I've worked on is gone. If there was some way to restore it, I could just set up a new environement and look at the OMLs, but now it's all for nothing. It feels really demotivating to learn and improve on a personal environment if you have this delete with no backup system on the environment.

I know that you don't want to host free environments because it cost you space, but doing this, or maybe even enable self hosting or something for a free version, so you don't have to deal with the storage, would allow us to have a passion for OutSystems outside of work aswell :)

Your suggestion makes complete sense, and we agree that developers should have a way to keep their work when a Personal Edition is deactivated. Losing work you’ve dedicated so much time to is frustrating.

The good news is that we’re already working on improving this experience in the new Personal Edition, and your feedback reinforces that we’re moving in the right direction.

When I read your idea title, I felt I totally agree with it. As it happened to me before, when I started using OutSystems.

But I am thrilled to know that OutSystems is working on this issue.

Hi Viktor,

We have released a feature that will allow us to backup the list of Apps from ODC PEs before they are deleted.
The owner of the PE will receive the link to download his apps in the email that alerts the PE has been deleted. This link will be available for 7 days. After that, you can still contact us through support and we can generate a new link.

This means you can now recover all your work and reinstall in a new PE.
