Licensing

Personal test/learning accounts have very short time limits, selected long ago, before the average wristwatch had gigabytes of storage.

This has created a problem that if you don't log in to your account weekly, all your work, like forge components you may be maintaining, get deleted.

Please can the timeout be extended based on community rating / responsibilities?

They are limited because they are free, and actually do cost OutSystems money. Hence the rules regarding keeping your personal environments live. If you need more space, you can do what others do, create an additional account. If you need more database space, spin up your own database. Keeping all personal editions free is at high cost for OutSystems.

@Daniël Kuhlmann doesn't sound like the idea is ignoring the cost, just advocating for extended timeouts. Extending timeout based on community rating, contributions, etc. as Nathan is suggesting seems like a novel idea. Salesforce is a good parallel here that offers the same type of thing with developer orgs and developer editions - https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.admin_de_org_expiration.htm&type=5. They do account differently for what that org has done respective to expiration, similar to what Nathan is suggesting and are a bit more generous with the time window I believe. Certainly there is a cost for them as well just like OutSystems but ideas to balance that cost vs the developer experience should be worthy of conversation and consideration, no?
