A no-brainer: having the possibillity in the Expression Editor to click on a true or false button to have the text.
Just like you have now with the null identifiers.
Yes, its lazy but that's the common thread with developers :)
We have quite a number of booleans in our tables, and I very often have to type "true" or "false". Since there's already a "null" button, adding True and False button shouldn't be too difficult, and it would safe the user from having to move their hand from the mouse to the keyboard and back again.
Up, this would be a good time optimizer.
I thought it would be a good idea if we had 'True' and 'False' buttons as options in the Expression Editor window, just like we have ''not' 'and', 'or', 'like', etc...
In a lot of cases I need to validate a boolean by an expression. It would be helpfull if there would be a button for 'True' and 'False'.
I know that in P11 you don't need the 'X = true', but it still is usefull for 'X = False'
Why not use "Not X" instead of " X = False"
Hi Daniël,
I'm working on P10 and have to use X=true/false. That is why I came up with this idea, but you are right. In P11 it makes more sense to use "Not X" instead of " X = False".
Hi Hans,
I'm happy to announce that from now on Expression Editor now has buttons for True and False boolean values.
You can find your contribution to the product in the release notes.
Thank you so much and keep the ideas coming!
Hans? Why Hans? The original idea was mine, from 2012, it has been merged wrong!
Hey Kilian, you're right! This idea was wrongly merged in the past.
We'll talk with the Community Ideas Team to see what we can do about this.
