While I think it is possible to support interaction with DB2 or postgreSQL using webservices it would be nice to provide full integration support for DB2 and or postgreSQL similar to that which is offered for SQLServer and Oracle.  I would think that this would be a pretty simple enhancement on the programming side with just providing the JDBC connector for these database although I may be wrong.

Agreed.. I would like to see a range of the leading databases covered (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Sybase, etc)

Hi Pablo,

Sorry for the late reply, but we are not planning on delivering this in the near future.

The investment to do this properly is too big for the return and for the upcoming new features that we have in mind. Because of this, I’m marking this idea as “not right now”.

Nonetheless, thank you very much for your idea and keep it coming.

If you believe we missed some context that would change our perception about it, please give us more details about why you would need this and for what is the use case.

Thanks!

Hello all,

This idea is a bit old, but just to give more information about the current state of this topic: we support integrating with DB2 for iSeries and there's also a connector for PostgreSQL developed with the Database Integration API SDK, available under Limited Access. The linked topic has more information about it.

Best regards

DB2 and PostgreSQL integrations are now fully supported by OutSystems and available in Integration Builder and Integration Studio.
