Currently, if there are outdated references in an espace it requires 6 clicks to update all references in said espace.
1) Open espace
2) Update Refs button
3) Refresh All Refs button
4) OK button
5) 1 click publish
6) Close espace
(And continues to the next espace.)
As we have a minimum of 19 espaces required for a clean Lifetime Publish without errors, this requires at least 18 publishes, a total of 108 clicks minimum just to get to the point that we can open LifeTime to move code.
There are a great deal of change types (layouts, actions, intra-espace mods) that don't cause errors on update all refs, meaning this would be a huge help.
The existing structure for updating refs en-mass have serious problems. (The open all referenced will cause Studio to have memory overflow issues, re-publishing the solution never seems to update refs no matter how many times you run it, etc.)
This means even to test changes midway down the espace flow, we must spend a great deal of time updating references.
Running a full lifetime of our application to prod can take upwards of 2 hours from start to end when you include the time required for updating refs.
A 1 click update refs solution from studio, outside the espace, would greatly improve efficiency, usability, and user experience for customers with large applications.
Thanks!
