Add "plain text" to the Widget Toolbox

By Justin James on 27 Nov 2016

When there is a part of the screen that the CSS makes it hard to click into in Studio, it is difficult to get plain text into the screen unless you copy/paste it from elsewhere... kind of annoying!

Hi Justin,

That makes sense!

We'll work on that soon, I'll keep you posted ;)

Thanks for the feedback (keep it coming)!

Hi guys,

I'm glad to let you know that this feature was already implemented and it will be released in Development Environment 10.0.709.0.

Once again, thank you Justin for contributing to our product ;)

Keep these ideas coming!

When I saw it in the release notes for the Release Candidate I got so happy I shouted about it on Slack. :)

There is no text literal on the widget menu (like expression, label and so on).

Add it there please.

When you cannot type directly on the screen you must search for a literal and use copy past to get the literal and change it afterwards.

People drag and drop the expression instead of that. This is a pity because expression must be evaluated which consumes time.

Unfortunalty the text control is not on the Insert Widget menu when you right click on a container

Hi Johan,

Are you sure? Can you please confirm if it is really not there or if it is just in the end (in mobile)?

Cheers

Hi Vasco,

I now see it. I must have overlooked it.
Thanks for the screenshot. It's there on the spot you pointed at.
