The ability to get information on who has downloaded a forge component you publish

Hi Dan,

Why would you want to know that?

Besides that, I doubt it will ever get implemented due to gdpr-compliancy?

Depends how it's done, totally possible under GDPR.

Ongoing updates / improvement requests - it's reliant on end users either having an issue or reviewing rather than understanding how people used a given component or how they many have improved/tweaked it.

I've had instances of using components, changing them to add functionality but not actively feeding back into the improvement of the forge component because there's little community around that, only a 'support' aspect.

Maybe what I mean is something more around being able to more easily/openly actively contribute to forge components in the same way Git has Pull Requests?

Hi Dan and Followers,

During this and next quarter, we will work hard to grow the forge into a marketplace of high-quality components.

We will:

  • Review supported components based on usage and criticality
  • Provide an additional trusted level, for open-source components curated by OutSystems
  • Clean low-quality components from the forge, either improving or dropping

So I have set the status to “Working on it”. We expect it to be ready during Q3/4. I’ll post an update once it’s done!

Cheers

Ana Sequeira

Awesome thanks Ana!
