Show total no of unique ideas ever created on Ideas page

Community Ideas
Not right now

We can currently see that, as at 12 June 2018:

  1. There have been 126 NEW ideas in the past 30 days
  2. 473 ideas have been implemented over time
  3. and there are 331 discussions active/started in the past 30 days

Perhaps there can be a small indicator below the number of ideas implemented that indicates the total number of unique ideas ever logged. See the image below as an example.

Changed the category to Community Ideas

Hi Hanno

Why do you think that is important to measure the number of ideas? What will the benefit to the community?

It shows completeness and that OutSystems is not trying to hide anything. It's odd to not be able to see it, in the same way that you can only see the top 10 posters in the Community Leaderboard page.

Hi Ana

Without being rude or facetious, we can ask the same question the of why are we then measuring the number of ideas implemented, the number of discussions, etc.

A measure means nothing if not comparable to a baseline.

The total number of ideas is available here as a total at the bottom of the grid anyway, so it is not like it is proprietary or secret information.

Being able to see the number of implemented ideas vs ideas generated change over time builds trust with your audience. The same goes for the other stats.

Trust this makes sense?

Hello ,

I was just trying to figure out the priority / impact of the idea.

I’m marking this as “on our radar” since our users would benefit from this. Still no date for a delivery, but we’ll keep an eye on it.

Thanks again!

Thank you, Ana. It is more a nice to have than an actual priority.

HI Hanno

We are not planning on delivering this in the near future. This idea had a few engagements (likes, comments). Let's keep our attention in ideas that have more priority. Because of this, I’m marking this idea as “not right now”.

Nonetheless, thank you very much for your idea, and keep it coming.

No problem, Ana. Thank you for the feedback.
