Create Private Communities

Not right now

The idea is Outsystems allow we create communities here.

For example,  in Brazil the most people are more comfortable to comunicate in portuguese.  We have a whatsapp groups that reached the users limite.

Maybe Outsystems could provide this feature in the community and could be very nice exist a mobile app also to access the discussions

I can understand that you are more comfortable to speak in portuguese but if they create the private communities, I believe most of brazilians will go ther to ask their questions and only if you knew portuguese you will be able to help.

In that way you will lose a lot of experts that can help faster because of all the knowledge they have of OutSystems, just because they cannot speak portuguese. I know there is something called Google Translate but that works for both ways.

And since we all live in a global world, I believe talk and write in english is a must for everyone (not judging anyone).

Hi Abílio

It is relative.

Some companies like Microsoft provides the contents in many languages to cover better others markets.

To Outsystems grow more fast in another regions, maybe it is a good strategy allow also communities for regions and specific languages, not only portuguese.

For example,  the brazilian group is moving to slack that is outside Outsystems. Sometime there are very nice discussions there.

If it was inside Outsystems community maybe Outsystems could monitor everything.

Outsystems could for example figure out a way to apply a translate in real time in all the forums, probabily the Data Science team from Outsystems has some idea what could be do.

HI Tiago.

I understand your point of view, but It's not the way we want to drive our community, at least in a near future.

Because of this, I’m marking this idea as “not right now”.

Nonetheless, thank you very much for your idea, and keep it coming.
