Search for text across factory

It would be useful to search inside advanced queries across the factory.

When profiling SQL Queries in production, using profiling tools like solar winds or SQL profiler, it's difficult to map back to where the query is being used.

Merged this idea with 'Search for text accross modules/espaces' (created on 12 Nov 2018 13:50:38 by Christian Nyqvist)

Currently Edit - Find/Replace works fine but only within the module/espace that has focus within ServiceStudio. I want to search for a piece of text accross all modules/espaces in my environment.

Example: sometimes developers hardcode usernames/password/etc to quickly test an external service. However they do not always remove this before go-live.

Example: If I want to know were a certain error message is shown I have to open each module seperately. I could enable translation and use this to find text but this is a bit too much work I think.

Changed the idea's title to include all search text in factory scenarios (including the Advanced SQL one)

Merged this idea with 'Find any text across multiple modules' (created on 04 Aug 2020 11:13:57 by Igor K)

I know this idea was implemented, but it is limited to only public elements, which is the top of the iceberg.

What would be really great is to have this in servicecenter, searching by ANY TEXT inside all modules or subset of modules. I have drown a quick mockup if you don't mind:

Another possible option I was thinking about is searching inside all open modules in service studio. This one is nice to have, but is not very useful because it would be just a shortcut for searching in them one by one. If you already opened the modules - not a big problem to search them one by one.

Must to have! struggled without that quite often.

I want to search for a piece of text accross all modules/espaces in my environment.

Example:If I want to search for modules that are affected by a bug fix, I will need to open each module individually. It would be more efficient if you could search for a piece of text across all modules/space.

Indeed! The search could be available at the service center- may be just telling which modules might have it, so they can be opened in Service Studio.

OR

The search could be present at Service studio itself.
