What would be the use-case?

Normally you could have plenty of lines in javascript.

But I hope the advanced-sql should  be used to a minimum ?

I'm very sorry, but I didn't understand your question, and the connection that you put between the idea that I present and your questions, but I can give you an example of a case, in which if we had line numbering would help a lot. Presenting line numbering is something that when we have more complex queries, can help a lot.

I like this idea, in fact - add line numbers to ALL text editors (on-off checkboxes can apply). This helps code readability and also enhances communication on distributed teams. With line numbers you can say things like:

• "scroll down to line Y"
• "merge lines Y1 and Y2"
• "remove lines from Y1 to Y2"
• "add X on line Y and a half"
