GraphQL is an API standard that provides a more efficient, powerful and flexible alternative to REST web services.

Very attractive!

Essential

Would be very welcome as an additional tool for web services!

Yes please!

+1 for this idea.

Yes please.  I need to communicate with a new partner who has a GraphQL service.

I am also waiting for this. My customer is asking us to do this.

Can you please add this to OutSystems? Would be perfect!

+1

I am surprised that this not in the Top ideas.

+1 We are very interested in having this.

+1, Surprised Outsystems still hasn't taken up this idea.

+1, it will help OutSystems to tap into the more modern world.

+1 for this idea

+1 This would be very important for us and should be a logical improvement/next step on the native REST support

+1. We really need to connect to a GraphQL server in our project.

Allan (and others),

We have done a fairly significant integration which relies heavily on GraphQL.  We did it entirely in Outsystems and learned many lessons along the way.  Not saying we have everything figured out, but we learned some lessons that might be helpful.

Reach out if we can be of assistance.

Scott

+1 This should be on the top of the ideas!
Glad to hear Scott Finkle, I'm working on an extension to consume GraphQL.

Maybe I'll contact you for some tips.

Cheers,

Luís

Has anyone here managed to consume graphql ?

Hi Edson, This Forge Component is a quick way to consume GraphQL:

https://www.outsystems.com/forge/component-overview/9060/graphqltools

Merged this idea with 'Provide support to write GraphQL APIs' (created on 26 Sep 2022 06:20:03 by Umesh Sharma)

Please provide support to write and consume GraphQL APIs the way REST API support is provided in Service Studio

1. Option to consume GraphQL APIs in Service Studio

2. Option to write GraphQAL APIs in Service Studio.

Thanks

Umesh

See this article, interesting on this topic:

Hi Umesh,

Indeed this would be nice to have a native solution from Outsystems.

I can share with you my workaround to consume GraphQL in Outsystems as a REST call:

We are using this in production without any issues.

Cheers,
