Would be nice if Extensions in the forge could be added to a outsystems managed github repository.

Additions, improvements etc. can then be pushed and reviewed before being implemented. Now, someone is either a team member with all the the needed privilidges or nothing at leaving it up to the project team to implement / build requirements for the community.

As someone on a bunch of project teams, I haven't seen anyone on that team pushing garbage code, and the much bigger concern is how few people participate in projects at all, which github doesn't solve. I see one request to join a team every few YEARS come in my inbox.

I think the current setup is better, gives a level of security to the application. Having everyone rights to change the official build may break it unintentionally, so at least keeping those rights to limited number of people make sense. Anyway, you can alter the component however you want after installation so you can still make improvements on it even if you're from the outside. If from tinkering you found a great idea, bug, or anything that can improve the component, then it can be raised in the forums.

Merged this idea with 'Code management and versioning' (created on 03 Jul 2023 12:10:39 by Lucas Lago)

Creation of a code versioning method, github style, when the developer is publishing, where the developer can comment on the code he is publishing. Facilitating when he wants to return at this point in the code.
