I feel like a rollback or retract lifetime feature might be extremely beneficial for large applications with lots of dependencies. Currently, if I deploy a long deployment plan and something goes wrong in prod I have to either fix it immediately or manually rollback to a previous version for each module that was published. I want to be able to rollback or rather retract the last deploy with a button click.
Hi Roman,
Thank you for your idea! I'm marking it as "On our radar".
This isn't currently on our roadmap, but we'll keep this post open to collect feedback.
Thanks again!
In lifetime, I'm missing the functionality to to able to take a environment snapshot and if a new deployed release is not working properly, to have a simple and quick way to rollback to the previous snapshot.
In a brief way, to mimic the ServiceCenter Solution version creation and republish that version.
To perform this in Lifetime is a very big hassle.
Hi Rui,
Thanks for your idea!
I believe that is similar to this one: Rollback lifetime deployments
What do you think? Can I merge them?
Cheers
Hi João, you may merge them! Thank you.
I believe this is very underrated. I just had a push to production I had to rollback and I realized it would be more worth it to live with the delta and hot-fix the bugs than use the current rollback process.
I think a simple "1 click button" that rolled back the previous deployment without me having to tag every app, would be really, really nice! :)
Great idea. It would very useful and a big time saving.
I really needed this right now.....
ouch... Kudos Nelson, my university alma mater!
Also waiting for it!
Maybe a duplicate of the older idea 3700 (15 Apr 2018 )?
