It would be just a tad bit quicker to find something in the Widget Tree if a widget on the screen editor had a context menu option to "Find in Widget Tree" that way you don't have to open the Widget Tree first, it just auto-opens to the Widget Tree and auto-focuses the widget, simply by selecting the context menu option.
I agree. Better search would be great. Having worked in other IDEs I find it very convenient to have a separate search box for different views and editors. Currently, If I'm not missing anything we have just one searchbox on the top right corner.

A capability to filter the widget tree may be using a search box would be really nice. Or if a quicker way to go back and drill down to the required item in a very deep widget already exists, please let me know. Thank you.
The only way I can think of is just clicking the item on the screen - it will be highlighted in the tree.
Hi Kilian,
Thank you for the merge and for responding to my post. Appreciate it.
I can confirm that the 'click item on screen - highlight on tree' is actually the current behavior.
So from the widget tree, I can jump back to the screen (mobile for example) and scroll up/down to find my widget. Which is okay, I guess. But still similar pain point to drilling-up/down the widget tree, if you know what I mean?
Kind regards,
R
Yes, I've had similar problems, I think this is a good idea.
Hey Robert,
I'm glad to announce that we've implemented your idea and, since last Service Studio version, you can simply right-click in a widget to sync the widget in the Widget Tree.
Thanks a lot for your idea and for contributing to our product. As usual, you can find a public acknowledgment for your idea in the product's release notes:
