Show release number in the about screen

Service Studio about screen shows the full version in the format 11.0.XXX.X while in the community portal every version is only identified as Dev Environment 11  Release XX.

It would be good if Service Studio about screen could also show the release number so that it's easier to see if we have the latest version and match it more directly with the release notes in the community portal.

Merged this idea with 'Service Studio: Align version number of App and Website' (created on 20 May 2019 06:22:53 by Vincent Koning)

Currently the version number of Service Studio is 11.0.510.0. This is the version number that is visible on 2 locations in the app. It's in the lower left corner of the app and it's in the About screen.

When I download Service Studio from the web I then see the release number (currently, 22). This is the only number visible on any screen during the download process.

These 2 number don't align and I have no clue whether I'm on the latest version. 11.0.51.0 has no relation with Release 22 anywhere.

Can these 2 numbers get a relationship somewhere both in the App and on the web? I know there is an auto-update mechanism but sometimes that fails and I don't have any other method to verify that I am using the latest version.

I added a picture for reference. It shows the download web page on top of Service Studio showing the version number.

Or at least add the date of the release in Service Studio next to the release number

Hello, we are currently working on it, you will have updates soon. Thank you.

Hi,

The first step in the version format change is done! Today's update to Development Environment uses the new format (semantic), and it will be followed by Platform Server and LifeTime in the next few months. You can read more about it in our forum - https://www.outsystems.com/forums/discussion/50621/were-changing-how-we-version-outsystems-11-releases/#Post187886

Hi,

We are moving another step closer to simplifying the versioning of our products. Following the previous change to the Development Environment version format, today’s update to Platform Server uses the new version format. LifeTime will follow very soon. You can read more about it in our forum.

Hello, this has already been implemented in Service Studio and Platform Server, and is currently being implemented in LifeTime. We are working to make it available in the next LifeTime release. Thank you

Hi Andre and Sofia,

Hello, we've been implementing this across all our products, started by Service Studio (11.5.39) then Platform Server (11.7.0). Now, on January 17th we released a new LifeTime version with this (LifeTime 11.4.0), so I'll mark this idea as implemented.

Thank you for the idea! And keep sending ideas :)
