Outsystems Reporting Services(Report Generation)

Since outsystems now have many updates up until Reactive Web, is there a way that Outsystems could have its own built-in reporting services not by having a dependent in OfficeUtils or Excel Package.


I'm thinking like the Report Services of SQL Server wherein the content is also drag and drop. Currently, when we use Excel Package or OfficeUtils it takes several minutes to generate because of the loops and needs to state each value in each field and it takes hours to set up and to build and also it is too risky for the maintenance by having several nodes just to assign value in a report.

Hi,


I'm kind of think that maybe outsystems could also have the capability to have its own report feature where we could layout a specific report and generate it, just like Report Build in SQL or Crystal Report.


I know outsystems have Excel Package, HtmltoPdf, but using excel package required to put data per cell so if the report has too many formatting it could take time to generate or sometimes session timeout occurs.

So with the use of this feature, it will lessen the burden to develop per cell per row/column in excel package and with the use of drag and drop we now have a fast way and more optimized way of generating reports in our application

I think in service we need to have some reporting tools or control so we will develop reports in a faster way like crystal reports feeture like header,multiple pages and export features.

Hi Team,


In my application has more than 1000 reporting pages to print  and we don't have reporting tool in Outsystems ,  so if we introduce any tool in reporting it would me very much beneficial in development.


Though we are using HTML to PDF converter as of now which is not giving an appropriate layouts. it's kind of a work around in OS development for reporting.

As moving forward i am looking OS as a one stop shop !
