I started to explore a concept like this, but I won't be able to keep working on this. I will share here some quick drafts on what it can be.

Greate drafts! That is the idea! A customer main activity (Queue App) and functionality to choose the local and the store activity, responsible for queue management. We also could improve the automation of the queue,, simple application to control it.

Maybe it's already on your head, but just adding some thoughts on this idea:

• I see somethings that can be issues for example, "elder" people that don't use mobile phones so much and are going directly to the door to wait in line.
  So, basically the store should also have the option to add a ticket in the name of another person, so the security guy in the store can issue a ticket for all these people.
• Another thing is I should be able to drop a ticket. For example, if the estimation I have is too big, I might choose to go to another place or to go on another day and drop the queue.
• Also, I should probably get the stores in a radius of my current location, so maybe I should be able to define the search radius, like 5km, 10km, 20km ...

• Correct @Alexandre,  for the non tech people it must have an SMS Feature or even a paper ticket, created by the store front door security.
• Other major issue that is uncovered now is the onboarding process for the store "owners".  How do we validate that someone is really the responsible for the Front Door of the ABCD Supermarket? (Do we need that?)
• Also, how do we deal with shifts? For example if someone controls the front door from 9AM to 3PM and other person controls the door from 3PM to 9PM. How the application will manage this change? The store will need to have a Smartphone exclusively for this purpose?

Hi @Eduardo and @Alexandre, really good issues to be discussed. The people that don't care about smart phone should use the SMS, own desktop computer or a automatic phone call.

And each supermarket must have a smart device to manage it, ether release the ticket in front the door or verify the client code access.

Other function that is possible is to cancel the client swift, maybe he/she gives up to get out.

And how said above, the application must set a perimeter zone, so the client could choose for exemple the fastest queue available.

And just highlighting, this queue controler application also can be use to another type of store, therefore they have the opportunity to keep pushing the economic.

even in small shops also these days they draw circles where people can stand  maintaining the distance.more of a app in collaboration with municipality should work. this concept would be a good plugin to a bigger app or portal.
