An idea based on the discussion here:  https://www.outsystems.com/forums/discussion/65118/what-are-the-relative-weights-of-certification-exam-prices/

The certification cost is not encouraging for developers from countries with lower minimum wage.

For instance in India. https://take-profit.org/en/statistics/wages/india/

As per this data, the MW for India comes out to be 115 USD which obviously is on the lower side. But I have seen entry-level developers work at 200USD. So certification cost is somehow not very encouraging in our geography too.

Even Microsoft does this. For instance,  a certification that costs 165 USD in the USA is available for 4800INR in India equivalent to 65USD. The same certification is also available for 100USD in Brazil.

It will be very encouraging if we have some way to come up with Geography specific pricing based on the minimum or average wages.

+1.

We need more support from India and countries where MW is comparatively lower.

Seriously $200 per exam cost is very high as per Indian.

All certifications are already lowered to $150, specializations cost $75

I support from India.

Please take the necessary action for this issue. It will help all Indians.

Best thing to do right now is to join user groups, many times free certifications are handed out.

Same during NextStep and OSDC last year. A lot of people at my company got free certifications.
