Data Synchronization

This course will get you introduced to data synchronization in OutSystems and how to leverage the platform to design a performant and fit to purpose synchronization pattern.

What will you learn?

You’ll learn which elements OutSystems already offers out-of-the-box for you to use when designing the data synchronization on their mobile applications. You will also learn how the data synchronization works under the hood, as well as some characteristics of the sync elements that will contribute to a performant and well designed synchronization pattern. After learning the basics, this course will introduce which accelerators are available to help you build you synchronization pattern quicker. Finally, you will be able to see some common data synchronization patterns, how they are implemented, and some cautions you must have when designing your synchronization pattern.

What do you need?

Your laptop with Windows 7 or higher and version 11 of the OutSystems Development Environment tools. You will also need access to an OutSystems 11 server (or Personal Environment).

Very useful.
However, on the Data Sync Exercise.pdf, on page 12, there is an error: when it is referred "UpdateLocalEmployeeForSync", it should be "UpdateLocalCustomerForSync"!
Other than that, very useful.
