Atos has developed several apps for a polyolefins and base chemicals company to enable mobile operators on the shop floor. Among them a warehouse app to pick articles and an equipment inspection tool. The apps are realized by a continuous, fixed team of Belgium and Dutch developers from Atos.

Atos developed a pricing application, which allows pricing deals to be captured and authorized. This solution allowed the sales team to raise a price discount request or a temporary price reduction. Based upon the value of the deal, the request is routed to several sales managers for approval.

Atos build an OutSystems web application (running on shore and on vessels) to maintain electronic cleaning manuals for cleaning tank containers. It brings efficient use of resources, saving substantial time and cost. Communication between the vessels and shore is realized via connection of the application instances through a RabbitMQ message bus.
