About Us
In 2013, 2,809 meters up at the top of the Austrian mountain Valluga, while taking in the majestic scenery, our founding fathers had a vision for the future...  Big data emerged and came knocking down our doors in the Enterprise solution market and we recognized this growing market. In reaction, we rapidly developed a radical platform to store and analyze Big data. The search was on to find an easy way to present these insights and data.  Success was booked when OutSystems caught our eye! The pragmatism of rapid application development or low code in combination with widespread recognition and endless, future potential made it the obvious choice. Valuga joined the world in 2016, to help customers find simple solutions for complex problems. With the OutSystems platform our experts develop rapid applications making all data easily accessible in a clean, user friendly manner. In the years that followed, Valuga grew with people from all over the world. Dutch household names like Randstad, Holland Casino, CZ and Eneco valued the ease in which our OutSystems Experts understood their complex environment. Creating applications that are seamlessly implemented and easy to use for everyone who comes into contact with them. Valuga developed and designed Policy Manager 2.0 for Onguard. Policy Manager is a tool that provides insight into how well a client is covered from risks, such as insolvency or bankruptcy, from their debtors.

The main challenge for the new Policy Manager was better integration with the multiple insurer systems, simplifying requesting coverage and doing claims.

In the end Valuga delivered a multi-tenant, multiple insurer application which provides valuable insights into how the risk of a client is distributed.

The main advantage is optimization of the process end-to-end, guaranteeing minimum operation and fresh produce wastage.

Valuga developed the Product Information Management System (PIMS) to replace the shortcomings of Microsoft Dynamics Navision custom processes and to handle the communication with GS1, an entity responsible for developing international standards for identifying, capturing and sharing data. This was previously done by using an external paid application.

PIMS resulted in a central storage of product information data making it easy to manage whilst ensuring data quality. It includes reporting and a validation engine that complies to the GS1 rules that Nature’s Pride has to adhere to for each of their target markets.

Valuga developed the Product Specifications app. The app contains the quality information for the products that Nature’s Pride handles based on several high standards.

A 117 columns and 9 sheets Excel file was completely transformed into a 3 screen application, meant to help different groups of users create, update, upload, request and compare different products and standards and download or copy information in multiple formats.

With the new app human errors and data loss are reduced by more than 90%. This way, every member of the quality team can have access to real time and accurate data ensuring data consistency while maintaining data integrity since data can only be changed or deleted by users who have been granted permissions. Every change is evaluated by the manager, in the designated approval screen.

Valuga developed the Vistors Registration System (BRS), a suite of mobile and web-based apps that helps Holland Casino staff at every step of the process of onboarding a guest, making things like simple admission and loyalty card subscription a pain-free process. The applications integrate seamlessly with hardware and legacy IT-systems, bringing new life to core client processes.

Valuga developed the Poker Registration System (PRS). Various poker games can be configured here. The poker games can then be published on the Holland Casino website and players can make a booking and payment for a poker game.

During the games there are several possibilities to manage the game, both for cash games and tournaments. Waiting lists are kept in which the player is informed via SMS when a place becomes available.

For payments there are overviews for the cashiers and total overviews for checking for the back office employees. The application uses web services to establish a connection between PRS and Holland Casino website and for narrowcasting.

PRS is Live in all 14 branches of Holland Casino.

Valuga developed the Order Building app. On a higher level the company specializes in the buying and selling of products. For selling to a customer a sales order has to be created, respectively for buying from a vendor a purchase order has to be created.

The creation of sales orders and purchase orders were previously done directly in their ERP system resulting in two major issues. Firstly, it was unclear which purchase orders were linked to which sales order. Secondly, the rigid ERP system made it hard to update sales and purchase orders. Since flexibility is key in this industry, these issues had to be solved.

Valuga solved the problem by developing the Order Building app, where users can complete their sales orders by allocating stock and purchase orders in a flexible manner before creation in the ERP system, resulting in a more efficient sales process with higher margins.

Valuga developed the Inbound Warehouse app. The company owns warehouses where products are received and distributed from. Hence the question: How can we guarantee that received products are checked correctly before they are distributed? The answer to this question is given by the realisation of the Inbound Warehouse app.

This particular use case was born out of the clash between theory and practice. In theory, it is expected that products we buy, match the products we receive. In practice however, this does not alway match up, expected products are then replaced with alternative products or entirely new products. Before the system can be updated so that the new situation matches the old one, the products have to be checked thoroughly.

The app helps users move through the check in process more efficiently. Ultimately reducing check in time while minimizing mistakes.

Valuga developed the Repacking app. In the process of buying and selling products, the packaging sometimes needs to be changed due to language differences in the buying and selling country.

The manual process included multiple external parties that were communicating mostly via email, Excel was used to monitor and receive limited insights. Data was stored in several places.

The Repacking app is designed to be the single source of data and central point of communication. It facilitates in every step of the process including communication between external parties, uploading and approval process of photos.

The app also gives insight into the history of repacking orders, an overview of upcoming workload and availability/capacity of the different repacking organizations, and facilitates in re-using previous translations to save time and money.

Valuga developed the business-critical Customer Support app in a Scrum/Agile way. The current strategy includes replacing and adding business value for each department through the Customer Support app.

The app must contribute to the vision on service, therefore it must be personal, easy, flawless and always a step ahead. Adoption will first take place by Customer Service, who answer questions from insurers over the phone. Followed by Declaration Service, who answers questions from insurers over the phone in regards to bills.

Other departments such as the Care Team, Social Media and Police Policy Care will also use the application in a later stage. After a positive pilot period, the Customer Support app was adopted in 2018 by all customer service staff.
