Dave is an AI-powered shopping assistant built using OutSystems low-code platform with one primary mission: to assist customers every step of the way, from their initial product questions and doubts to a smooth checkout and successful purchase.

Traditional virtual assistants use technologies that do not incorporate Generative AI resulting in very limited, weak or not applicable responses. Some of the recent virtual assistants incorporating Generative AI don´t have our prompt engineering that improves significantly the quality of the responses. In addition, our basic setup is very flexible supporting products from different industry sectors, it can be retail, finance, healthcare, etc.
One of the biggest differentiators of the solution we are presenting now is its flexibility. We are not talking about a niche solution only tailored for a specific industry, but rather a solution that is flexible and adaptable to multiple realities. What we propose is not in a black box model, but something that can (and should) be altered according to the reality of the organization we are working with. This adaptation is not only at the level of the database that supports the search but also in the form and content of the response that the chatbot gives to the customer. Shorter, longer, more telegraphic, or more assertive responses are adjustable parameters via prompt engineering. The response from a "shop-assistant" at a sports equipment store must be different from that of a law book store (for example). And this modularity can only be achieved with a tailor-made but modular and scalable solution. Just like the front-end, the ability to adapt in the presentation layer to the client, to their reality, color scheme, lettering, layout makes this solution scalable and adjustable to new challenges.
