We are currently looking for an OutSystems Senior Architect in the United States.
This senior technical leadership role focuses on designing and guiding the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance low-code solutions for enterprise clients. You will play a pivotal role in shaping architecture across web, mobile, and business process applications built on OutSystems, while also influencing strategic technical decisions that directly impact business outcomes. The position combines deep hands-on architectural expertise with client-facing advisory responsibilities, particularly in pre-sales and solution design. You will collaborate closely with sales, delivery, and executive stakeholders to translate complex business needs into robust technical solutions. In addition to leading architecture, you will mentor technical teams and help elevate engineering standards across the organization. The role is highly influential, blending technology leadership, consulting, and organizational impact in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
Accountabilities
- Architect and oversee the delivery of scalable, secure, and maintainable OutSystems-based solutions across enterprise web, mobile, and workflow applications.
- Act as the primary technical authority on complex client engagements, guiding architecture decisions and ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Partner with sales and pre-sales teams to support discovery, proof-of-concepts, solution design, and technical proposal development.
- Translate client requirements into detailed solution architectures, including effort estimates, delivery planning, and risk assessments.
- Lead technical discovery sessions and executive-level workshops to identify opportunities and define solution direction.
- Mentor and manage technical team members, supporting their professional development and ensuring high-quality engineering practices.
- Drive internal initiatives to improve development standards, knowledge sharing, and overall technical capability across teams.
- Contribute to strategic decisions related to technology adoption, innovation, and organizational growth.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software development, database programming, and solution architecture, including client-facing or pre-sales roles.
- 5+ years of leadership or mentoring experience, including managing or coaching technical teams.
- Strong expertise in OutSystems or similar low-code platforms, with proven success delivering enterprise-grade solutions.
- Deep understanding of system architecture, application design, and scalable software engineering principles.
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional environments with multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to lead technical discovery sessions and translate findings into actionable solution designs and business value.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence commercial and technical outcomes through architecture decisions.
- Bonus: experience across multiple programming languages, agentic systems, or complex enterprise integration environments.
