About the Role
We are looking for a Senior OutSystems Developer with strong OutSystems development and architecture experience to lead the delivery of enterprise digital applications. You will provide technical leadership across the full development lifecycle, working closely with cross-functional Scrum teams and stakeholders to translate business and operational requirements into secure, resilient and scalable solutions.
This role requires hands-on OutSystems expertise, strong engineering fundamentals and experience leading engineers in the delivery of end-to-end digital products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor engineers, providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews and driving engineering best practices.
- Design, develop and deploy enterprise applications using OutSystems.
- Translate business and operational requirements into automated workflows, forms, process logic and application functionality.
- Work closely with product, business and technical stakeholders within a cross-functional Scrum team to deliver solutions that meet operational requirements.
- Own day-to-day technical decisions relating to system architecture, code quality, resilience, security and platform implementation.
- Ensure solutions comply with platform governance requirements, system architecture principles and applicable ICT standards.
- Deliver features across the full Agile sprint lifecycle, from solution design and development through testing, deployment and production support.
- Manage application deployment lifecycles, environment configurations and performance optimisation.
- Act as the technical escalation point for integration, performance, security and platform limitation risks, working across teams to drive timely resolution and maintain delivery continuity.
- Support the integration of existing and legacy systems with modern application platforms and services.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including solution designs, technical specifications and application support materials.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in OutSystems development and solution architecture.
- OutSystems certification at Expert Developer level or higher.
- Strong hands-on experience designing, developing and deploying enterprise applications using OutSystems.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams in the end-to-end delivery of digital products.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, integration, security, resilience, performance and code quality.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, DevOps practices and the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience integrating legacy systems with modern application platforms and APIs.
- Experience delivering government or public-sector digital products.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
- Experience working with the GovTech technology stack.
- Strong experience delivering large-scale solutions on OutSystems.
- Experience modernising or integrating legacy technology systems.
- Good understanding of Singapore Government ICT policies, standards and governance requirements.
- Experience integrating applications with AI or machine learning services.
