This component supports the possibility to automatically deactivate internal and/or external users. If you want to deactivate external users automatically, it is mandatory to set up one or more internal e-mail domains, which are comma separated. If no e-mail domain is set up, all users will be counted as internal users.
Furthermore, there is the possibility to exclude user groups from deactivation. This can be useful if certain user groups cannot be activated automatically on login.
Note: Users with the role ‘User manager’ won’t be deactivated, because these users should always be able to activate other users manually.
The number of users who are deactivated, depends on the settings of the limit and the threshold. Once the number of active users exceed the limit of users minus the threshold, users will be deactivated. When users will be deactivated, the remaining number of active users will be the limit of active users minus twice the threshold.
For example, the limit of active users is 10.000 active users and the threshold is 200 users. Once the threshold (10.000 – 200 = 9.800) is exceeded, the deactivation will be executed. After the deactivation, a maximum of (10.000 – (2 * 200)) = 9.600 users will be active.
The configuration screen has the possibility, to start the deactivation. In the table below the configuration, the users who will be deactivated, are shown.
The users who will be deactivated are based on the last login moment. So, the active user with the longest period of inactivity, will be deactivated first.
