For PDF u can use empty screen and change the layout using pdf/printout layout - remember to set the blank screen's credential to anonymous just in case the pdf get printed login screen.  

CookBook for PDF:

1. Create Screen: Choose BlankPDF

2. Create action ReportConverterPDF

3. Create Screen to call the ReportConverterPDF

4. In the Client Action set the OnApplicationReady with action OnApplicationReady_UltimatePDF
