If you have a previous version ofthe component installed in your environment, just:

  • install the newest version from the Forge from Service Studio
  • the platform will recognize, that an old version already exists in the Evironment:
  • Install anyway. The old version will be automatically removed from Independent Modules:
    and the new Version will be found under a new Application:

The objective of this component is to facilitate some of the very useful  libraries in .Net for image compression in Outsystems. 

Many application does provide the features to upload images in various application context and those get saved into the database.

It is very important to save compressed images in database in binary format. The degree of compression can be varied through parameter how ever there will be a trade off with image quality.For business applications where the receipt images or business transaction related images are uploaded, those are very less impacted quality wise, with higher compression.
