CSV/JSON Conversion Utilities

Client-side OutSystems actions for converting CSV text to JSON and JSON text to CSV without requiring server-side processing.

CSV to JSON

How to Use

1. Add a dependency to CSVToJSON.
2. Pass the raw CSV content into CSVString.
3. Set Delimiter, or leave it empty for comma-separated data.
4. Use JSONString with the OutSystems JSON Deserialize action.

Inputs

• CSVString — Raw CSV text.
• Delimiter — Column separator. Defaults to ,.

Outputs

• JSONString — JSON array containing the CSV rows.
• Success — Indicates whether conversion succeeded.
• ErrorMessage — Contains the error description if conversion fails.

JSON to CSV

How to Use

1. Add a dependency to JSONToCSV.
2. Pass a JSON array into JsonText.
3. Set IncludeBom to True for Excel compatibility.
4. Set ProtectSpreadsheetFormulas to True for user-provided data.
5. Use CsvText for display or download.

Inputs

• JsonText — JSON array of objects to convert.
• IncludeBom — Adds UTF-8 BOM. Recommended: True.
• ProtectSpreadsheetFormulas — Prevents formula injection. Recommended: True.

Outputs

• CsvText — Generated CSV text.
• Success — Indicates whether conversion succeeded.
• ErrorMessage — Contains the error description if conversion fails.
