The AdverseEvent resource returns data about an event that caused unintended physical injury resulting from or contributed to by medical care, a research study, or other healthcare setting factors. These events might require additional monitoring, treatment, or hospitalization, or might result in the death of a patient.
A user or staff member accessing this FHIR resource must have security to vew adverse events for research studies.
This resource requires additional setup if the organization has custom category list values for adverse event grades or research study attribution.
The AllergyIntolerance resource defines clinical information about a patient's allergic response to a substance. It defines the substance that elicited the response, as well as when the reaction occurred, the severity, and the type of reaction noted.
The AllergyIntolerance resource accommodates creating allergies by adding them to the "holding tank" that drives the EpicCare Reconcile Outside Data Activity. Once a clinician reconciles the allergy, the unconfirmed AllergyIntolerance in the "holding tank" will no longer appear in AllergyIntolerance.Search results. A new AllergyIntolerance resource associated with the reconciled allergy will be available in the normal AllergyIntolerance.Search API
