Streaming

Most network cameras can deliver video using RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) as a protocol.
RTSP is a protocol for controlling real-time streaming of video and audio, but it requires dedicated software for communication.
In recent years, however, HTTP-based protocols such as HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) are increasingly being used for live delivery.

HTTP Live Streaming (HLS)

HLS was developed by Apple Inc. and is used by many video delivery services because it can deliver video using a familiar HTTP server.

This method is characterized by the delivery of an index file (playlist) and segment files divided into smaller segments for video playback.
Segment files can be generated from MPEG-4 video, AAC or MP3 audio files.
