System Bars Plugin lets you control the style, visibility, and transition animation of the status bar and navigation bar on a mobile device.

This plugin implements a System Bars API allowing mobile applications to control the native status bar and navigation bar at runtime. It provides a reusable interface for interacting with these system UI elements in packaged mobile apps.

Functionality includes:

Showing/Hiding the system bars
Setting the style of the status bar and navigation bar
Configuring animation behavior for system bar transitions

This plugin is intended for mobile apps that require tighter control over the native status bar and navigation bar, such as immersive layouts, full-screen experiences, and theme-driven mobile interfaces.

What's new

iOS — Show / Hide with bar = "NavigationBar" now controls the home indicator (the thin bar at the bottom of Face ID iPhones). Hide lets it fade out after a moment of inactivity; Show brings it back. A Show / Hide with no bar affects the status bar and the home indicator together.

Fixed

Android — when you set different styles on the status bar and the navigation bar in separate SetStyle calls, both now survive a runtime light/dark theme switch.
iOS — resolved an internal threading issue in how the status-bar state was applied.
