AWS STS Connector lets your OutSystems applications call the AWS Security Token Service (STS) to request temporary, limited-privilege credentials and to inspect the identity behind a set of credentials. It exposes every action of the STS API as a server action with typed inputs and outputs: assume a role within or across accounts, federate users authenticated by a SAML or web identity provider, get session and federation tokens, perform privileged tasks on member accounts, identify the caller or the account behind an access key, decode authorization failure messages, issue a signed web identity token, and exchange a trade-in token for credentials.
You pass plain values and get structures back. The connector handles Signature Version 4 signing (through the AWS SigV4 library), request encoding, the choice between the global and regional endpoints, and response parsing. It accepts temporary credentials as well as long-term keys, raises an exception with the AWS error code and message when a call fails, and never stores the credentials you pass.
