The Unix epoch (or Unix time or POSIX time or Unix timestamp) is the number of seconds that have elapsed since January 1, 1970 (midnight UTC/GMT), not counting leap seconds (in ISO 8601: 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z).

With this component, you can easily convert between the usual date and time formats and the epoch format.

Feature List for the Component:

  • Get Current Epoch: Return the Epoch given a Date and Time
  • Datetime to Epoch: Returns the Date and Time (in DateTime format) given the Epoch
  • Epoch to Datetime: Return Epoch corresponding to the current Date and Time (given in DateTime format)
What’s new (2.0.1)
  • New Demo created to test the three available functions
